This page explains, in plain English, how Sound Control Tech makes money. It is written to meet the disclosure expectations of the United States Federal Trade Commission and the operating requirements of the Amazon Associates program. The short version: we earn commissions on qualifying purchases made through links on this site, and it costs you nothing extra.
The Amazon Associates relationship
Sound Control Tech is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases.
In practice, this means that most of the outbound product links on this site point to Amazon. If you follow one of those links and go on to buy something within Amazon’s cookie window, Amazon may pay us a percentage of that sale as an advertising fee. That fee is paid by Amazon out of its own margin.
You never pay more
The price you pay at checkout is exactly the same whether you reach Amazon through a link on this site, through a search engine, or by typing the address yourself. Affiliate commission does not add a surcharge, and it does not unlock a discount either. We do not have access to special pricing, and we cannot influence what anything costs.
How the links themselves work
Buttons and product links on this site may be tagged with an affiliate identifier, and some of them route through a redirect on a domain we operate before they arrive at Amazon. That redirect exists so a click can be counted and attributed. It does not change the destination product, it does not change the price, and it does not collect anything from you beyond what is described on our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy pages.
Once you land on Amazon you are on Amazon’s site, under Amazon’s terms and privacy policy. Any cookies set at that point belong to Amazon, not to us.
Editorial independence
No manufacturer, brand, or retailer pays for coverage on this site, for a favorable write up, or for placement in a list. Nobody sends us products, because we do not accept them. Amazon does not review, approve, or see our content before it is published, and commission rates play no part in deciding which products get covered.
If that ever changes, the change would be disclosed on the affected page and on this one, before you read the content.
What our recommendations are based on
This matters as much as the money, so it is repeated here from our About page. We do not physically test, listen to, measure, or own the products covered on this site. Everything published here is drawn from manufacturer specifications, published retail listing data, and the aggregated pattern of buyer feedback. Nothing on this site is a hands on review, and no claim here should be read as a measured or observed result.
Specifications and availability change without notice, and listing data is often inconsistent. Confirm anything that matters to your purchase against the manufacturer’s own documentation and the live product page before you buy.
