What this site is
Sound Control Tech publishes research write ups and background articles about audio equipment: headphones and earbuds, speakers, soundbars and subwoofers, receivers and amplifiers, microphones, turntables, PA gear, two way radios, and some music instrument equipment. Nothing is sold from this site: no checkout, no stock, and no order that can be placed with us. Product links lead to Amazon, and any purchase you make is a transaction between you and Amazon.
Because we are not the seller, we cannot process, change, cancel, or track an order, arrange a return or refund, or handle a warranty claim. Those belong to Amazon or to the manufacturer.

Accuracy, and the limits of it
We take reasonable care, and still cannot promise that any given detail here is correct or current. Two things make that unavoidable.
First, products change without notice. Manufacturers revise a model mid life, swap a driver or a chipset, change a battery rating, or replace a product with a successor that keeps the same name. A page here reflects the information as it stood when it was written or last updated.
Second, much of the underlying data comes from Amazon listings, and that data is frequently inconsistent. Specification fields contradict the product title, a weight or a dimension is given two different ways, attributes appear that plainly belong to a different item, and variant names do not match the images. Where we notice such a conflict we say so on the page rather than choose a figure and assert it. Where we have not noticed one, it may still be there.
Before you buy, confirm anything that matters to your decision against the manufacturer’s own documentation and the live retail listing. If you spot an error here, tell us through the contact page and it will be corrected.
Hearing safety
This site covers headphones, earbuds, speakers, amplifiers, and other equipment capable of producing high sound pressure levels. Please read this section properly.
Sustained exposure to loud sound can cause permanent hearing damage, and that damage does not heal. The risk rises with both volume and the length of exposure, and it can build up gradually enough that you do not notice until it is done. Earbuds and headphones deserve particular care, because the driver sits close to the ear and the sound level at the eardrum can be far higher than it seems.
We publish specifications as the manufacturer states them. A sensitivity rating, a maximum output figure, or a stated power rating is a manufacturer’s number, not a safety certification. We cannot certify a safe listening level for any individual, and nothing on this site should be read as doing so. The actual level reaching your ears depends on the source device, the recording, the volume setting, the fit of the earpiece, and your own hearing, none of which we can see.
Follow the manufacturer’s guidance and the volume warnings built into your device. Keep the volume as low as still lets you enjoy the material, take breaks, and use hearing protection around amplified live sound. If you notice ringing, muffled hearing, or discomfort after listening, stop and speak to a qualified medical professional. If you have any existing hearing condition, take medical advice rather than advice from a website.
